What is a Bug Out Bag? To start with a Bug Out Bag is also often referred to as a “BOB“, I.N.C.H Bag” (I’m Never Coming Home Bag), “GOOD Bag“Get Out of Dodge Bag or 72 Hour Bag. A Bug out bag is not a survival kit per se. The purpose of a bug out bag is to provide you with essentials to exit a bad situation, natural disaster, social unrest etcetera and survive 72 hours while you get to a safe place. The bug out bag should only contain the essentials for that time period and not extras. Pack small and light as possible. Bug out bags should be packed, ready to go at all times.

Bug out bags can be purchased fully equipped or you can purchase a purpose made bug out bag and stock it yourself.
